The beginning of a story...
Helena notices the quick darkness of the dense forest on either side of the mountain pass. It calls her in, inviting her to run blindly through the trees. She presses her forehead against the passenger window, squints her eyes, and tries to imagine what it would feel like to fly like that.

January Tree
Today my boss informed me that January's Tree of the Month is the pine. In honor of my favorite trees, I am going to share some of my pine family shots and look for more opportunities to document these stoic giants. Here's to a great start to the new year, which is looking quite good now that pine trees are involved.
